About The MAKERSHiP Project

The MAKERSHiP Project is designed to retrain people in Western Pennsylvania who have recently lost a job for careers in digital making and manufacturing. 

Participants can develop a portfolio of work and access job placement opportunities with advanced manufacturers and start-up companies.

Is the MAKERSHiP Project right for you?

  • Are you at least 18 years old?

  • Have you recently lost your job and are looking for employment in manufacturing?j

  • Do you like to make things and work with your hands?

  • Are you available to learn new skills and train for a job in manufacturing?

  • Are you comfortable working with machines, power tools, and computers?

  • Do you have reliable transportation? We are located in TechShop Pittsburgh in East Liberty.

Apply for the MAKERSHiP Project

The MAKERSHiP enrolls new applicants monthly and is free for dislocated workers (people who have recently lost their jobs). Apply online and a member of the MAKERSHiP team will contact you for a in-person interview and inform you of the next Open House event. Please provide detailed work experience and personal information on your application.
