Come visit the ™ Project at I Made It! for the Holidays in the Waterfront in Homestead. I Make It! Market is a nomadic indie crafts marketplace that provide opportunities for local artisans to bring their wares to market. We couldn’t think of a more perfect way to mingle with makers and get the word out about the MAKERSHiP™ Project at the same time.
I Made It! for the Holidays 2013 will be located inside two vacant retail spaces in the Waterfront’s Town Center in Homestead. You will find over 90 local artists with handmade goods for purchase. There will be music, entertainment, and activities for the kids on Saturday. This is a great opportunity to meet the artists who produce these items and talk with them.
The MAKERSHiP™ Project will be at this event to promote our training and placement program for digital manufacturing. We want to bring pride back to manufacturing and making in America. You already know that technology is changing the way we live and work. The MAKERSHiP™ Project is training unemployed and under-employed people in the skills needed for a career in manufacturing and matching them with the startup and mature manufacturing companies we partner with.
See you there on November 22nd and 23rd!by
